'Azure' Aviator Themed Limited Edition Hamper for Fortnum & Mason
This is the outcome for my Final Major Project at the Interactive Design Institute. Following my earlier post on the booklet, this is the rest of my designed items. The hamper is made of leather and suede with distinct stitching used to add the luxurious feel of the item. The items inside it are cylinder containers that are made of the cardboard with aluminium-felt finish; they contain a set of cutlery items for two people, coffee and tea sachets, whole wheat bread crackers and homemade jams along with a tea set of two thermo cups and a thermos.

'Azure' booklet
'Azure' booklet is a part of my Final Major Project at Interactive Design Institute. The brief was to create a themed limited edition hamper for Fortnum & Mason (fortnumandmason.com). One of the themes was Aviator, which is what I had picked for the project. This booklet is a part of the outcome items I had to design.

The 'Azure' logo is inspired by the shapes of cockpit instruments (particularly gauge) as well as the shape of an aircraft's fuselage when looked at from front or back. It was important for me to use the deep blue colour for the logo in order to evoke the memory of flying high above and the general image one sees when traveling by air.
The booklet was designed to tell a short yet informative story about the two parts of aviation history; I was very careful with how much text I would use as, generally, majority of consumers prefer to read less when browsing through a luxury item booklet. I used and then edited images that I purchased from Shutterstock (shutterstock.com) to help me tell the story as I believe one is far more attracted to great photography and is more likely to actually read the content inside the booklet.
Finally the booklet uses Varnish technique on the logo on the cover. I picked this technique as I believe it is the most efficient in leaving a great visual impact when one tries to use a logo on a photograph.
Below are two mockups of the booklet as well as the inside pages.

Self promotional packs
After completing self-promotion module at the Interactive Design Institute I had arrived to the following outcome. There are two self-promotion packs that I would have ideally sent out to my prospective clients along with my logo and stationery set.
Below is a presentation with detailed descriptions for each item and my design choices.

one8one magazine 'Illusion' issue #22 (Jan'14)
This is the latest issue of one8one magazine, the magazine I art direct and design. I thought it would be the best to publish a link to the full online version of it as I think this issue is the most I have creatively worked on.
This is the first time I create a cover in one tone eliminating every other hue. I specifically picked this shade of pink to strengthen the femininity of the person featured on it. I have been looking into pastels a lot and this is my first voyage into this colour scheme.
I have included a few spreads that I felt spoke the most about the character of the issue. The photo editing of the fashion shoot was done by me and the goal was to keep the feel of the shots weird and unconventional to support the clothes and makeup worn by models.
Enjoy.
